32 imagesOn the weekend of 10th/11th September 2011 during The Electric Frog festival in Glasgow, I opened my studio doors and invited people in to have their portrait taken. These are my favourite images from the project. If you'd like to see all the images from the weekend, there's a separate gallery in the 'Galleries' section at the top of the screen. You can buy digital file downloads and prints from there.

11 imagesI've been using an iPhone 4 for a couple of months now and have become really impressed with it as a camera. I find the beauty of it is the lack of control it allows. It's really liberating having just one button to press, one lens, one focal length. It frees me from the technical aspects of picture making. All I have to do is see a picture, frame it and click. It's always in my pocket, so there's no excuse for not making pictures when they present themselves to me. It really comes down to very simple point and shoot photography. Complete with noise, distortion, chromatic aberration and shutter delay - all the things we try to avoid with serous photography. But, that's part of the fun. No time wasted pixel peeping and studying the finer points of technical imaging perfection. If the picture works, it's down to subject, light and framing - the basic ingredients that make any picture work, or not. So, this gallery, which I'll continue adding to is presented for what it is. Just a bit of fun using the most basic equipment. I've no plans to sell or market these images commercially. I'm just sharing them because they're fun to make.
